CBC late-night movie.. weird kung-fu movie.. what is it called?
I saw it part way through.. the first scene i saw was in some sort of courtyard and there were two men in purple or blue robes with dark glasses and some sort of stringed instrument that made stuff like blow away or something.. and then there was a bunch of fighting and then some lady finished a whole cigarette with one drag, then screamed and it was like a hurricane, and there were zombie-type warriors and they disintegrated and stuff when she shrieked…
and then later there was this guy who tried to mug a girl, and then there was a flashback scene that showed that she was actually his deaf friend back when they were kids or something.
and that’s all i can remember.
Characters are:
some guy named Donut (?) [who dies]
middle-aged asian man in silk pajamas
middle aged asian woman in robe with curlers and a cigarette
deaf girl
guy who tries to mug deaf girl
it was like a messed-up kung-fu-comedy. it was really hillarious.
can anyone tell me the name?
