Fix Your Keyboard Issues With Tech Support
Keyboard is one of the most important parts of a computer system. It is an input device used to type characters and so you can not do without having a keyboard attached to your computer system. Though you can boot up your system without the device but there is no way to work further. Similar to other electronic device and component, your computer keyboard can also get damaged with prolonged usage. Now, the best remedy for a keyboard problem is to replace it with a shiny new one. But your problems can also be resolved with skilled tech support assistance.
Often system fails to detect the device while booting. Such error comes with a message “Keyboard error or not present” and no mater which key you are pressing, the device just remain dead locked. Sometime on starting a message pops up on the screen “Keyboard error: press F1 to continue” or often the keys do not strike correctly. At times a ticking sound notifies certain error with the keyboard. Problems can mostly caused by debris or dust accumulated on the keyboard. However, tech support or computer repair technicians suggest some keyboard repairing tips with which you can fix your issues the easiest way.
If the keyboard is not responding, first you should make sure it is properly plugged in and getting a regular power connection. As computer services suggest, plug out the device and reinsert the socket behind the CPU. Mind to check the USB port if it is USB keyboard. What happens in most cases you insert the socket which is actually meant for the mouse plug.
The next step is, according to computer services, restart the computer system and watch if it works. If the device is still not responding, connect another keyboard to your system to check is the problem is with your system or not. If the replacement keyboard is responding to command, then you can be rest assured the problem is within the old keyboard only.
To check the device error, computer support service providers will direct you to explore the device manager. Control panel is the way to device manager that shows all the devices connected to your computer system. Search for the keyboard device here; if an exclamation mark or red cross sign is noted on the keyboard icon be sure it has some functional error within. Just remove that icon; restarting your system will reconfigure it. This process often works to restore your keyboard functionality.
It is always important to keep each and every part of your computer system clean as suggested by the computer services or professionals tech support experts. You may keep it covered with a plastic protector or can regularly clean the dust and dirt with a cotton wiper. You can also use a vacuum cleaner to remove all the tiny particles clogging upon the keys. Avoid using liquid based cleaners as that will make the device even stickier. If your keyboard is pretty old, just do nothing but replace it with a new one.
