We all are aware of the UFC 110, scheduled to take place in Sydney on 20 Feb 2010. It is not only Australia’s first UFC event, but also represents a true blockbuster mega Mixed Martial Arts event the mixed martial arts fans has been dying for to watch. Registrations on http://UFC110OnlineStream.com went through the roof in the past few days only acknowledging that this fight will be a big one indeed. With the demise of Pride, a slew of injuries amongst some of Mixed Martial Arts best fighters and some recent disappointing main event match-ups, the MMA world and MMA fans have been generally less than excited the future of the sport.
Also scheduled to fight is none other than The Axe Murderer, Wanderlai Silva. Silva has cemented his domination for over ten years now in the Mixed Martial Arts world of fighting. He is a very brutal striker and and the best well-rounded fighter. But can Wanderlei Silva win against Michael “The Count” Bisping? Bisping recently scored an very impressive round 2 Technical Knock Out win against Denis Kang at UFC 105 and is more than ready to continue his winning streak with The Axe Murderer.
Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC, just like boxing, is a fighter’s sport. Big names make an event. And big match-ups bring in the BIG audience. UFC 110 has the biggest names and some of the best match-ups possible today.
In the main event, MMA legend Antonio Nogueira will face undefeated Cain Velasquez in what already promises to be an epic fight that will go down in MMA history.
Mirko Cro Cop will return again in the Ultimate Fighting Championship cage at UFC 110 to face off against Ben Rothwell. Rothwell might just be the perfect fighter for Crop Cop to make a final return in the Ultimate Fighting Championship & prove to many that he still has the heart to fight. A defeat against Rothwell would be devastating and would most definitely end his career in the UFC. (What a brutal sport this can be, even without the punches)
What will also be interesting to see at Ultimate Fighting Championship 110 Nogueira vs Velasquez is the return of Mirko Cro Cop. Cro Cop suffered a horrible defeat at the hands of Junior Dos Santos at UFC 103. Following that defeat and at 35 years old, many fans and commentators doubted the future of Cro Cop’s career in the UFC and in MMA.
UFC 110 Nogueira vs Velasquez is gearing up to be the most exciting MMA event in recent times and will take Australian MMA fans by storm.
