im a martial artist who trains in the kajukembo system, my instructor has approached me informing me its time?
for me too choose a new weapon to focus on. i already practice eskrima (or escrima) stick fighting so i’m not really suppost to choose stick since its already taught in our school. i can basically choose between stick, bo staff, spear, knife, nunchaku, and gung fu sword. my friend who is basically my partner in the class is training in staff so i dont really wish to copy him either. i was leaning towards nunchaku but its dangerous to learn, and illegal to own in many states. i was hoping someone could help me decide on a weapon, if its not one i listed its not a problem my instructor and the other black belts whom i study under are trained is a variety of weapons.
i’d go with a knife because it’s more realistic. How often are you going to be walking with a stick, bo staff, spear, kung fu sword, or nunchucks. Best way to go is to train for the most realistic situation you may be in, your never going to have those weapons on you. Your more likely to be carrying a knife.
