Black Belt Appreciation
It is important to be aware and show appreciation to the people in our lives who support us. Attaining the goal of black belt not only takes dedication and commitment from you, but also from your family and friends. When was the last time you said, “Thank you, I really appreciate your help?”
As we begin a new year, we should be aware of how lucky we are to have these special people in our lives who support us. Showing your appreciation is a great way to show others your martial arts character.
Appreciation is an important aspect of the martial arts tradition. It is respectful for a student to show appreciation to his instructor for the special knowledge being given to him. Likewise, the instructor had been appreciative to his master and so on. In our classes, we extend the importance of appreciation to fellow students, family and friends. We are all part of the same team working towards a common goal. After working out with a fellow student, a simple “Thank you” means a lot.
In honor of those we care about, try these six ways to show your appreciation to family and friends: Compliment family members at least once a day. Demonstrate how much you appreciate them by doing something special (be creative). Respond with appreciative words immediately after a good deed is done. Show your appreciation by telling other people about the good deeds that are done for you. Compliment family members personalities, not just their accomplishments. Never worry about going overboard with sincere appreciation.
We appreciate the hard work and commitment from our Black Belt Club members and want to thank you for being part of our martial arts family!!
